Right Side of the Light

1 12 2006

Friday we had our first ICE storm of the year.    It took me 20 minutes to dig out my car from under the sheet of ice.

When Colin and I finally got home (will blog about the goings on to get us home later) one side of our street had power, the other did not.

No Christmas lights, or steet lamps, no tv flickering or lamps for reading books.  We could see the glow of candle light at several houses. . . . .

Thankfully we were on the side with power, it was so nice to get home and have it nice and cozy from the heaters. . . .

In respect to those candle bearers we decided to turn off the Christmas lights. . .  .
