Which are you? Rock or Spice?
In every relationship there is a rock and an spice. You can personally have traits of both but you are primarily one or the other. Which are you?
Rock : The rock is stable, considerate and interested in the details. The are solid in mind, sturdy in thought and tough with challenges.
Spice : The spice is spontaneous, off the beaten track and a little eccentric. A heaping of an artistic nature, a sprinkling of the wild side and a dash of out-of-the box thinking.
Although I have a strong tendancy to be timely, I believe I’m the Spice to Colin’s Rock. . . .
One of President George W Bush’s twin daughters, Jenna Bush, announced she is engaged (to long-time boyfriend Henry Hager).
Jenna who is 25, became engaged to Hager, 28, in Maine on Wednesday the 16th August 2007. They have been dating for over 2 years.
At this time the pair have not set a date. . .
A White House wedding is simply the closest thing to a royal wedding that you can have in the United States. All eyes will be watching.
A beautiful rose garden wedding (like Richard Nixon’s daughter) would be beautiful. . . .
Weddings show people’s emotional and venerable side – how will this look and effect the united states on the world scene? Will they look weak?
. . . .or will this simply be a joyful day for a daughter, father and family. . . .
Did I mention that Hager’s father was a lieutenant governor in Virginia?
I went with Sonia and Melanie today to Marche St. Hubert to look at wedding dresses. By a complete chance of faith, we found ‘the dress’ today. And for very much in budget!
It was bought on the spot!
I won’t reveal any of the ‘specifics’ of the dress as the groom to be may be lurking in a dark back corner of joeymoggie!
Also the Bridesmaid dresses have also already been selected! And neither Melanie or I will hate Sonia afterwards for having selected that dress. . . .
Can you believe we did it in a day!?!?! And not a bridezilla in sight!

Congrats to my cousin Jorden and Kurt on their engagement!
Also, to Nicky and Bev on their engagement too!
I love weddings!
My Monday Melee today reminded me that I haven’t posted about a special event to take place in just over a year. Sonia from work and her long time boyfriend Lee are getting married.
As a wonderful, special and very unexpected side note, Sonia asked me to be in her wedding.
I’m very honored.

I’ve got a goal to be around a size 12 for the wedding. Its a year away, so its plenty do-able. Wish me luck!

I haven’t been on a true relaxing vacation in a few years. Sure I’ve taken a little time off here and there. This year I took time off for my Brother in Law’s wedding, but it wasn’t for ‘me’ or relaxing/refreshing/rejuvenating like sitting on the white sands of a tropical paradise with a fruity drink dressed with an umbrella.
I need some time off for myself (and Colin)
In August Colin and I have booked a week off, we will drive up to Sudbury for a few days to see P&K and their house and hopefully head off to a cottage for the rest of the week.
I’m looking forward to no internet, no laptops, no phones, no cellphones, no Blackberry. I am far too attached to these items day to day. . . . .
I Love You Colin
5 years today we married. . . . .

Here’s the numbers:
Colin & Joey have been married for 1826 days or 5 years, this can be converted to one of these units:
Colin & Joey have been together for 4240 days or 11 years, 7 months, 10 days. This can be converted to one of these units:
Check out this website to calculate the duration between two dates.
Its our wedding anniversary this week. 5 years. A long time by today’s poor standard of marriage.
Both my parents and Colin’s parents are still married. Its almost like we are out of the norm having both sets of parents in 30 year plus marriages.
Mrs Graham sent us a lovely anniversary card, and this card convinces me I’m the daughter she never had.
Read closely. . . . . .

In addition to the card my Mother in Law sent, was a postcard sent by our mortgage broker.
It was about how to buy your Ex’s share of the house WHEN your marriage fails!
Interesting sense of timing on that, eh??
Poooooooohey! Colin is stuck with me for a very very very very very very long time!
I love you Colin.
The spirit of our favourite tragically flawed celebrity Playmate, Anne Nicole Smith, lives on in 22 year old Kristin Georgi – who recently married 84 year old Joe Hardy (a wealthy lumber magnate) in a private ceremony in Las Vegas. He is 62 years her senior, and well old enough to be her grandpapie. . .
I wonder what the bookie’s odds are when this old chappie will croak!??
I wonder what the prenup says. . . . .

Cheryl and Michael are visiting tonight, they are headed to Quebec City for a wedding tomorrow.
It will be really nice to see them. They will also be staying over on Sunday night before driving back to Ontario on Monday.
Cheryl and Michael are expecting their first baby in late July, the sex of the baby is unknown, and currently the baby is simply and humourously called ‘Ruby’.

I’m happy to announce that Abby and Luka finally got married. Yeeeeeah!
Luka surprised Abby with the ceremony, she had no idea till she arrived at venue. . . .
It was beautiful. . . . .

I’ve been meaning to post about this since P&K’s wedding, they are back in Toronto opening their wedding gifts this weekend so that reminded me to do it.. . . . .I’ve been playing around with some Mosaics software recently. . . .
The first sample below is of P&K. It is made up of 13, 000 little photos of the two of them. I made the mosaic as a wedding present (hense why opening wedding presents reminded me). I printed it super large for P&K, its the size of half a door! You can see every single smaller image when you are up close to the picture. I was pretty proud of my efforts. . . .
The second one is draft I’m currently working on for CH2. Picture Mosaics are alot of fun, I am going to do one in the near future for Ryan as well, and probably do one up of the moggies too.

If you aren’t familar with picture mosaics, its creating one picture out of hundreds of tiny pictures. . . .
In the field of photographic imaging, a photomosaic is a picture (usually a photograph) that has been divided into (usually equal sized rectangular) sections, each of which is replaced with either a solid colour, or another image of appropriate average colour. When viewed at low magnifications, the individual pixels appear as the primary image, while close examination reveals that the image is in fact made up of many hundreds or thousands of smaller images. …

Welcome back to the Canadian Tundra to Paul & Kate after their Honeymoon.
Hope you guys had a nice time away. . . . .
