I just saw a commercial for tomorrows episode of The Maury Povich show. . . . .

In an incredible turn, tomorrow’s show is about “Amazing and shocking events caught on tape” rather than the usual “Who iz my baby daddy”

Way to stay fresh Maury, I bet Connie is proud.

First Episode of Canadian Idol

I guess I feel since I secretly devoted more time to American Idol than I should have or even admitted, I feel an obligation to start to watch Canadian Idol.

So far I’ve actually seen two people who I know on the auditions show.

Adam from “The PAC”  and Shannon from my home town, both I knew from dancing.   Shannon got a gold ticket, Adam – well – it was a golden effort!

Congrats  Shannon. . . .if you get onto the show, I’ll vote for you every week!  Way to go girl!

American Idol Finale Finally Here : JORDIN SPARKS WINS!

Tonight is live American Idol Finale.

For those that could vote, did you vote Jordin or Blake?

For those that couldn’t vote (like us Canadians) who would you have voted for? (Are all you Canadians looking forward to Canadian Idol starting up soon?)

Tonight’s finale will probably see all this season’s American Idol faces, like Sanjaya, back on stage.

I don’t think I’ll be watching. . .I’m going to wait for SkyWindows to update her blog for the results.

I believe Jordin Sparks will win the title. . . but is winning a burden or a blessing?

Although I wasn’t in North America for many of the American Idol seasons, I can only name two previous winners (Carrie Underwood & Kelly Clarkson)- but I can name quite a few artists who came from the show and didn’t win.(Chris Daughtry, Catherine McPhee, Clay Aiken).

Melinda could Do Little to stay on American Idol

Poor Melinda,

She is off American Idol.  She had a good run.  She did, however annoy me a bit.

The final two are Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

Did anyone else but me think that Melinda’s signature deer in the headlights look reminded them of a black Lily Tomlin?

Serves me right for tuning in. First time since Sanjaya left. But. . . . I . . . . Can’t. . . . .resist. . . .Bon. . . . Jovi. . . . . YUMMMMMMMMY

I am not an avid viewer of American Idol, and I wasn’t really sure the singing abilities of the contestants. I have to say I personally enjoyed Blake Lewis, maybe it was simply the fact that he sung one of my favourite Bon Jovi classics – but I very much enjoyed his song.

If I could vote, I’d vote for him.

Latin Inspired Karaoke Night on American Idol, with added J-Lo

I’m home tonight, and thought I would actually watch American Idol. You can’t dislike or dis something you’ve never tried, so I figured since I plan on continuing to dislike American Idol – I should watch it.

Tonight was Latin theme, with special guest star Jennifer Lopez. Our votefortheworst poster boy, Sanjaya, did a Spanish ballad.

I didn’t hate him tonigh. As Randy said – he might very well be the smartest contestant on American Idol, and Simon said it wasn’t”bad”. Although I would have prefered if Sanjaya had done the song that the website www.votefortheworst.com suggested he do (Ricky Martin’s “Shake your Bon-Bon”)

I still don’t like him, but if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em (Or in my case vote for them or not vote for them).

The Divas, “Penis Head” (as Skywindows calls him) and that one guy all sounded very karaoke – I did however enjoy the beatbox guy, Blake doing a Marc Anthony song.

I have to give J-Lo some credit, she really did offer the contestants some very good constructive feedback.
