Rock & Spice

Which are you?  Rock or Spice?

In every relationship there is a rock and an spice.  You can personally have traits of both but you are primarily one or the other.   Which are you?

Rock : The rock is stable, considerate and interested in the details.  The are solid in mind, sturdy in thought and tough with challenges.

Spice : The spice is spontaneous, off the beaten track and a little eccentric.  A heaping of an artistic nature, a sprinkling of the wild side and a dash of out-of-the box thinking.

Although I have a strong tendancy to be timely, I believe I’m the Spice to Colin’s Rock. . .  .

Ringing

Recently my husband started to do something he has never done before. 

Wear his wedding ring.

Normally he only wears it to ‘special occassions’ (He used to say it went with his suit).

He is a lefty, and an artist, and has always felt uncomfortable wearing it.

P&K’s wedding was start of his daily ring wearing.

Something he noticed, at least in his own place of work, is that men who wear a ring command a different level of respect and (fairly or not) are treated differently.  He wanted to try this experiment out for himself.

He believes that in the work place its in part a physical affirmation of not only commitment, but also worth and responsibility.  Which I guess are parts of why one would wear the ring in the first place anyways, and probably why those traits could also be associated to the project at hand.

Whatever the reasons, I’m proud of him.  And each day he wears it it makes me love him even more . . . . .

Next Saturday my Brother in Law Paul is getting married to Kate.

I wish them luck on the final countdown and last minute preparations.

Have fun guys, the day is over before you know it! Remember to stop, breath, and take a good look around the room to see the faces of every person in the room who loves you and supports you. . . .

I’m so looking forward to seeing Colin in a skirt. . . . .yeah yeah yeah. . . .I know. . . . its not a skirt, its a kilt.
