30 06 2007Colin and I are having a lazy Saturday afternoon, watching “Jaws” . . .
. . . and you know what dawned on us. . . .
. . . . . We have no idea where to get good English style Fish’n'Chips in Montreal.
What a shame, eh? Any body know where to get Fish’n'Chips ’round here?
I went to London — yes, London, UK, not London, Ontario — and couldn’t find a decent fish & chips place. All the pubs were serving Thai food!
Anyway, “Jaws” is a kick-ass movie — it wasn’t just horror and there weren’t many special effects to speak of. It was mostly suspense and drama that carried the movie, and I loved that!
The almost 3 years I lived in London we only found 1 really really good fish and chips place.
I think its fair to say that Britan’s nation food isn’t fish and chips like you’d think but CURRY. There is a curry resturant on every corner. . .
. . . .thats where I learned to like curry.
Order a takeway (from the UK - LOL!) - make sure it’s one of those that guarantee speedy delivery of hot food! Don’t tell ‘em your address until you’ve placed the order!!!!!
